Camping + Persuasion = sleeping under the stars and interesting dreams

Okey dokey. So this weekend was eventful.

On friday I cheered at my football game against the "dragons" (stupid mascot idea) and we won by 1 point. oh yes, me and the other cheerleaders were sooo happy we didn't have any overtime because I didn't want to stay any longer then I had to.
Also, I broke a nail [sounds stupid but it hurt really bad] and now I only have half a thumb nail. Yes, it still hurts :,[

On saturday I had to get up at the buttcrack of dawn to go to GS fall encampment [which is basically babysitting in the wilderness]. I was with Juniors all day teaching them how to cook with lots of tinfoil and how to make Armpit Fudge [don't ask]...

That night me and my troup slept under the stars [an extraviganza my troup has been trying to convince me to do for about 5 years]. So I finally agreed and had a very interesting dream.

In this dream I dreampt about 4 people:
1. Cassanova
2. Caleb
3. Jason [of course]
and
4. Ian [my main hottie from Full Moon]

In this dream Caleb and Cassanova were fighting over my BFF bella, and surprisingly enough, Cassanova was winning against a 6'10" werewolf. [i know, that's amazing right?]

Also, Jason and Ian were fighting over me, but in the end I ended up fainting or something, so they had to drive me to the hospital and there was a dragon and some fairies mixed in there [ok, i had a whole thing of whipped creme during the PA fridge raid, I think this dream can be explained by a sugar rush].

Anyway. On Sunday I got to go home and I took a really long shower. Well, somehow the shower dran got clogged so my mom went in to investigate. Well, she found I swear, the biggest hairball I've ever seen in my entire life come out of the drain. I mean, it was bigger then my chiuahuah and boston terrier/rat terrier put together. [yes, it was disgusting].

So those were the main events.

Book news now!

There's not much book news today, but I'm debating to put this backstory in about a Phoebe/Caleb love drama when they were in Junior High. I thought it was an intertaining way to start the book, so I'm toying arround with ideas.

So that's all for now. L8er!

Dreaming Cassanova

Borrowed Time - The Fine Frenzy

Tee Hee. This would be a shout out to my BFF/Editor, Bella.

"You and Cassinova forever!!!!! haha"

Ok, onto the post...

So, yesterday my mom went to my cheer practice and made a hecka-bunch of videos of our dance and stunts. so yeah, I'll give u links to the videos later :]

Book news:

There isn't a whole bunch today, but there still is some [which is always good].

Last night I dreamt about Caleb Vandom [as I have been for the last week-or-so] so, I might add in some more stuff for him [Bella, quit saying hurray!]. Also, I found someone who looks like Jason. It's this guy from 90210 [the CW one]. He's the hunky guy from the drama club who's in the play with Annie [or whatever her name is]. Mix him with Steven Strait and you've got Jason. Another good thing about him is that he has a good singing voice.

haha, Pretty Woman scene in my book :]

Another thing from the book is that I'm expanding the 20-25 pages of Russia to about 100 pages [yay] and I've been working on it. I'm thinking of puting it from Castor's POV, but I'm not sure. I have to go over it with Bella.

so, short post today. I'll end it with some pictures.
90210 Hottie :]

Okey Dokey Artichokey!

"Faint" - Linkin Park

If you haven't noticed from my title, I'm really hyper. No, I didn't have a slurpie after cheer today [although that sounds really good right now]. But I had cake after dinner [you know, that really delicious chocolatey one :P].

Onto news for the day:

1. I went to school [I know, that's ground breaking news!!] and I went to my speech and debate team meeting at Lunch. It was a snooze-fest, so I'm probably quitting so I can be in the anime club :] . I'm weird, I know it :]

2. Cheer was an extra hour, which made me really tired. I got switched to base-ing and I hope I don't screw up my wrist during Homecomming half-time like I did in practice yesterday. Also, the other base in my group [her name is Jenna, but I call her carpet girl because she's got the personality of carpet]. Well, she ttly screwed everything up, so now Alexis is pissed off. Yay! Cheerleaders all PMSing. This is soooo fun :] (not).

3. I almost saw my first fight at public school. Haleigh Hoffman was going to beat up this girl Cassie on my cheer team because apparently she's talks bad about ppl [doubt it]. So I was all about to be mother hen on her, but then one of the P.E. teachers broke it up. {if he hadn't I would've gone to the office to report it}

4. I put my iPod on shuffle and I got to Sunglasses at Night by Corey Hart within the first 10 songs. That made me happy in Advocacy :]

Ok, I've drowned on enough about my actual life, onto book!

So, Bella, my trusty editor, convinced me out of changing the book to 3rd person limited knowlege, instead I'm doing 1st person [like planned] but I'm making the 1st chapter from Fee's grandma's POV.

Also, I don't feel the need to change chapter one! YAYAYAYAYAY hurray! Wahoo! Hurrah!!!! VICTORY IS MINE!!! hahahahahahaa!!!

Yes, I'm still hyper.

Also, Derek hasn't asked me to homecomming yet. [get a move on dude!]

I've g2g now, gotta run 1/2 a mile :]

bye :]

oh, and what do u think of this picture for my Brainwashed Perfection cover [this is aimed at bella]. Yeah, I know the make up is a little overdone, but I'm working with what I found.

Ok... It's sunk in...

Coming Home by City and Colour

So, as some of you may know, my grandma died about a week ago. And it's actually sunk in that she's dead. Let's just say I was kinda crying at 1 in the morning last night :,[

Anyway, On a happier note:

I have completely planned out book one and the manuscript should be done soon. I figured out what was wrong with my book [and let me tell you, it was bugging me hella bad]. The thing that was bugging me was that there was a character who didn't have a voice. From the beginning I never really had a solid reason for Phoebe to move to Trinidad, and now I do. Her grandma, Clemence Posey, is 71 years old and dying; so her dad and her have to go care for her. Though her grandma is 71, she looks like she is 40 [*cough cough* she's a Nymph *cough cough*]. She's the reason that Phoebe is part Nymph (Nyrix - Phoenix = Nymph). Guys can't be Nymphs, so that's why her dad doesn't have any powers.

This decision also helped me solidify how Jason and Phoebe meet. Jason is required to do community service for him 'homeschooling' so he helps out Phoebe's grandma arround the house. Because of this, a very entertaining scene involving a nightmare, a thunderstorm, and Phoebe waking up sleeping on Jason, occurs. This is one of my favorite parts of the book because it's so awkward that you can feel the "uh...what's going on" jumping up from the page.

Also I forgot to add in more of today's new:

1) no, he hasn't asked me to homecomming [darn you!]
2) I hurt my wrist in cheerleading and am really pissed at some of the girls on the squad
3) the 3 hour premire of Heros is on tonight! [yeah! woo hoo! hurray! FINALLY!!]

Well, I g2g now :]

Oh, wait. also:

muhahahahahhaha! victory is mine! Cassanova and Bella are slowly [and this is on Bella's terms] becomming closer and maybe a couple! [in like 10 years when Bella actually figures out how to flirt with him and actually have him notice]....

haha, love u bella :]

(don't kill me)

Author Overview

Headlock - Imogeon Heap

Okey Dokey. So, as you have probably noticed, I haven't posted in awhile. I haven't posted because of 2 reasons:

1) my grandmother died (as noted on my last post) so things have been pretty hectic arround the house.

and

2) because I got grounded for speaking to my mom in some apparently "disrespectful tone" and she took away my computer, tv, and cell phone for a week.

Now onto the post...

In my everyday life:

Well, Homecomming is comming up at MCHS and I might get asked by this guy Derek in my 4th period English class. It's a rumor that he's going to ask me, but I doubt he will. If he does, I'll make a long post with lots of OMGs and !!!!!s.

Also, yesterday was the first JV and Varsity game that my squad cheered at. We did fabulously and the football team lost both games (oh well. It's still our Casa, haha). But from that game I got a sunburn and plenty of blisters on my foot. Oh, and I realized that my uniform is not my size! So, things are going to blog-worthy soon.

Now onto my Author life:

I've decided to make an overview on the projects I am working on, just to kind of explain the story lines so that when I talk about the books, you'll understand a little more about what I'm talking about. (they aren't in a specific order)

Brainwashed Perfection: This is my newest side project. It's about the future world called "The New Earth" which has been brainwashed into a very vain, anti-religious world where beauty is the #1 thing you can have. The Delerium (the evil government brainwashing the people of earth) have divided the world into two social classes.

1) The Untouchables: This social class is 98% of the population. They are the people who aren't 'Perfect' and have to pay insanely high taxes to the Delerium just to see a person deemed "Perfect". About 8% of these people are in small rebellions scattered across the globe hoping to someday rid the New Earth of the Delerium and their evil ways.

2) The Perfects: This social class is 1% of the world's population. They are people who were at birth deemed to be Perfect in every aspect of their outwardly beauty. These Perfects are bound to a life where they must travel arround the world to collect the money from the Untouchables all while living to strict rules overseen by their caretakers and other minions (the caretakers and minions take up the last 1% of the world's population).

In the actual book, it's about one of the perfects named Alena [Ah-LEAN-UH] who is kidnapped by one of the rebel forces. While she travels with them, she begins to fall for their leader Darien [Duh-air-rEE-ehn]. While the rebels are planning to get rid of the Delerium's rule, Alena is trying to locate her birth parents, and find out more about her past.

I haven't gotten very far "document-wise" in this manuscript, but it's my most original idea, so I like it alot. But I haven't gotten a chance to work on it much.

Full Moon: This is the side project I started before BP (Brainwashed Perfection). It's about a girl nammed Violet who was one of the few dwindling humans in the world of Callaria. Callaria has been taken over by vampires and their masochist Prince named Cedric. As a way of servival, Violet became close with the prince, causing his icy heart to fall for her and vow to never turn her. But, when one of his advisor's find out that she is human, Cedric is forced to send the wolves after her, sending Violet running for the Winterlands [a vast snowy wasteland where few survive].

In her escape, Violet meets an odd pair, Simon and Ian. Ian [a super-fine 21-year-old] and Simon [a cute, blonde 6-year-old] are part of a rebelion who want to get rid of the vampires and free the remaining humans from bondage. Violet and Ian fall in love, but Violet doubts it would have happened if circumstances had been different. As she tries to hide her dark past, Ian starts to dig in more. When her secrets are let loose, thing begin to happen; things that decide the fate of Callaria.

This manuscript is also fun to work on because of Violet's back story. It's one of the best one's I've ever come up with and I'm really proud of it. But this one I also rarely work on due to other stories that are more important at the moment.

The Flawed Utopia: This is the book that I have finished and am now editing. It took me about 1 week to figure out the basic storyline, 1 night to think of characters [let's just say I had a dream about them :)], and about 3 months to type up the original 1st draft [which was soooooooooooooo horrible. It's morphed ALOT since then]. Since those three months I have spent about 6 months editing [yes, that is alot].

This is the basic idea for this novel.

Phoebe Stanton has never been normal. Cursed by an unknown power which alows her to see somewhat into the future and become an odd magnent to the other gender, she has been seeing wolves. But not just any wolves, werewolves. Unknowing of their human identity she beings to search, after moving across the country to live with her odd grandmother and her artistic father in the small town of Trinidad, California [Trinidad is a real place, but mine isn't based off of that one].

In Trinidad, she meets Jason Cross, one of the many Foreign exchange students living in the Cross Mansion [which is hidden in the woods]. She doesn't like him, at first. He questions her very way of life because he doesn't react to her like other men do. Unable to ignore him, she begins to fall for him; then she discovers his secret. The wolves and his mysterious family are one in the same. The Crosses are the werewolves.

Once their secret is known to her, things begin to happen, bad things at that. Evil beings begin to target her and she is put into grave danger, when a grudge made long ago arises from the past and could determine whether Phoebe remains alive.

This is my favorite novel to work on and it's the one I am typing up, talking about, or thinking about 99.9% of the time. The story and characters and everything about it is perfect and (me plus my family/friends) it thought to be bestseller material. This will be my debue novel and It's the reason this blog was started. It's a part of my everyday life and no doubt about it, this will be published.

This is one of 3 books in the Nyrix Series:

1. The Flawed Utopia
2. The Cracked Spyglass (or Looking Glass, haven't decided)
3. The Puppet Master

All of these novels are me. Each of the main characters are a part of me. Anything these characters would think or do, is me. And if any of them become movies, no one is aloud to play them but me. THEY ARE ME: LOOKS, BRAINS, EVERYTHING IS ME!

There's one other project that I am working on that's part of a 7 book series that I will most likely work on after The Flawed Utopia, but I'll rant about that on another day.

:]

Victory is Mine. MUHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!

"I'm in the business of Misery," - Misery Business - Paramore

Ok, twilight news! yay!

So, victory is mine. RPattz fav twilight book is #2, the one where he's a total butnugget and dumps bella and Jacob is the new star :]

rob just earned my respect for the next billion years :P

also, he's signed on for all movies and he's starting to read breaking dawn.

Another exciting thing is happening in the twilight world. Paramore will be making a new song for the soundtrack. YAY! can't wait for that.

Now onto book news.

I am an absolute genius! I have figured out completely how to make my secound book longer. It means having a little switchero with the storyline of book one, well, basically I'm making the ending so sad that you'll cry the whole year you have to wait for book 2....

yes, i am a writing genius :]

also, i'm taking after my favorite person in the world (stephenie meyer). In my 3rd book i'm doing the middle of the book from someone else's POV. i can't say who because that will ruin the whole shock moment, and I'd like to see some youtube videos of ppls reactions :]

also, talking about youtube. Soon i will be posting up a Midnight Sun response online. Let's just say I think that twilighters have gone to far. 1 for demanding her to publish it and 2 for the people who leaked it.

I'll let yall know when it's posted and I'll give you a link. :]

Twilight

"I will always reach too high cuz 've seen Twilight," - Twilight - Vanessa Carlton

So again, I'm having doubts about my book again. But what else is new. I was watching some interviews with Stephenie Meyer and she did her usual "what advice do you have for writers" shpeil.

Well there were some things she said:

"Don't write in the mindset of 'Will my publisher like it?', write for you because you're the most important reader."

and the other thing that she said was:

"People can relate more to human characters, the ones that don't have all the magical powers to add on to their hero/heroine-ness."

So now I'm having doubts about my main character Phoebe. She has magical powers of her own, the whole vision-meets-wings-meets-controlling-fire. So now I'm doubting that people are going to relate to my book because my main character had magical powers and they can't relate to that... and now i'm breaking her first commen of 'write for yourself and not others'.

Bella! HELP ME!

Love is Dead

"Love don't live here anymore, love is dead, love is gone," - Love is Dead - Kerli

Ok. So overnight I scrapped my idea of not publishing The Flawed Utopia. Yeah, I had a stupid moment last night. Let's just say I was really tired and a little loopy. But hey, if you're a writer you're kinda required to be loopy, especially if you're kinda-sorta in love with your character who's also a werewolf.

Yes, just a little bit loopy :]

So. I'm watching harry potter 4. First I say to keep it on because Daniel Radcliff is the hottest in this movie. Then when they go to the Quittich World Cup, Edward arrives (ok, he's cedric in this movie, but he'll always be Edward to me). And while I'm watching it my dad says in a girly voice trying to immitate Bella.
"I think this ammount of hottness will overwhelm Stephanie's brain."

hahahahahahahaha.

We laughed for a long time and then I was dissapointed when Edward has to leave. But he's comming back soon. :]

So I have come up with a new way for Phoebe to be kidnapped. My editor will like it, but as for the rest of you......

You can't know right now :]

Borrowed Time

"Step right over the line and onto borrowed time" - Borrowed Time - A Fine Frenzy

So, I've decided on a new way to start posts. I'm going to put up a string of lyrics of a song I'm listening to. Cool huh?

Ok. Onto the post.

Well, I've been thinking. [what else is new, I'm always thinking]. Well, I was skimming Midnight Sun by Stephenie Meyer (the leagal copy that is posted on her website stepheniemeyer.com) and I was realizing something about Edward. In twilight, he's very, well how can I put this nicely, boring. Most people who know me know that I'm a Jacob fan who doesn't mind Edward. Well Edward isn't boring throughout the whole thing. I mean, there are the cute thoughts he has when he's talking to bella [hidden things that we never knew about]. So it's not all bad. But it definintly isn't my favorite of all of the books. Mine is still Breaking Dawn [especially the Jacob POV part].

Another thing I've been thinking about is my style of writing. Earlier today my editor [and bff] Bella told me just how much my writing has morphed. Of course she's known me from the point where I would only use the speaking verbs said and asked. Yes, I've come a long way. And I've been thinking that the novel that I really want to publish is a more, personal story, something with more depth then The Flawed Utopia. I know this might sound crazy, to stop this book for the moment and focus alot on a different book, but I'd like to do something that couldn't be compared to Twilight. Bella, please don't shoot me :]

So yeah. That's what I've been thinking about. I'll post back later about whether this is really going to happen or not. Check you later :]

:]

Delerium

So... news... is there really any?

haha, duh, of course there is!

Ok, so in the twilight world:

1) Rob Pattz got attacked by a crazed fan [don't worry, he's ok]

2) Steph isn't writing a book about mermaids [poor bella :P]

3) Twilight Layouts has some new layouts for myspace

Ok, so in my book world:

1) The Library scene is under construction

2) Brainwashed Perfection is comming along nicely. It's about 5-7 pages. I'll post some up later.

3) No news about Full Moon.

Ok... I'm sick of numbering.

I've found some more pictures for my books... Enjoy :]

Book 2: The Cracked Lookingglass (or Spyglass, haven't decided)

Book 3: The Puppet Master

*Note: These aren't the actual covers. Just pictures I found that represent the book.

Also, listen to the song Wisdom by Delerium, good song. *Bella* think of book 2 Jason's POV

Thursday, September 4, 2008

Yay! I've achieved the impossible!

Ok, not really the impossible. But since my dad and my uncle abducted my iPod and put on a bunch of music, my once library of 300 something songs is not bumped up to 1355 songs. (exactly that ammount). So for the past week I have had my iPod on shuffle and I've finally listened to every single song! YAY!

Yes, I know, I have no life :]

Ok, onto better news.

So there's alot of twilight news. Twilight guy has updated his profile (yay) and there's a new entertainment weekly twilight cover (better then the last one). Tyra Banks has talked about twilight and says that it's going to take over the world :] (what twilighter hasn't said that). Um, what else was there. Oh, and twilight will be having a spread in an Austrailian Magazine. Also, taylor, kellen, and rob are in some magazine in fancy clothes :] (i only care about taylor, but i couldn't leave the others out).

Also, Kellen is on the new season of 90210 which I am Tivo-ing and I can't wait to watch it.

Onto book news!

So, as you all know, i like to distract myself while i'm editing, so i write side projects. well, these side projects normally appear in my dreams and entertain me while i'm listening to some boring rant one of my teachers are talking about.... so lately it had been "Brainwashed Perfection" and I've been writing alot of it down in a notebook. I haven't had a chance to type it up, but it's comming along nicely :]

The flawed Utopia is comming along nicely as well, so theres some good news there. Um, I'm still editing and I probably need to continue typing up the dinner scene, because Phoebe and Caleb haven't even had their confrontation yet.

So i've got some work to do! Oh, and I also have to read like 50 pages and annintate of Bless Me Ultima...

So of to work! Ovwah!

:]

Tuesday, September 2, 2008

Yay! ROb News!

Ok twilighters. Robert Pattinson has two songs that will be featured in the movie (yay!) and he's also (as we all know) writing bella's lulaby. YAY!

onto important news :]

So today in my Advocacy and Hummanities Class I began to write down some of Brainwashed Perfection and I've got the basic storyline for book 1 done. So here it is:

* = a most likely spelling error

In the future a "New Earth" has been formed by a dictatorship called the Delerium*. They are perfectionists and force the people of earth to conform to their masochistic* ways. Alena was born into the Delerium* and was deemed to be one of the few Perfects [a human who is the model behind what the Untouchables (non-perfect humans) must strive to be]. As a part of the Perfect's job, she must travel from town to town where people will pay just to see her face. This is something Alena wishes she wouldn't have to do.
On one certian trip, her car is intercepted by a renegade human society who kidnaps Alena and takes her to their secret underground base. There she is conformed to one of the renegades and chooses to fight against the Delerium* and bring the world back to the way it's meant to be. All the while she begins to fall for the renegade's leader, Darien, even though it goes against her brainwashed beliefs about the 'Untouchables'.

So yeah, I'm going to be typing up part of the story today and I'll post some up after I send it to my editor.

Oh, and progress on The Flawed Utopia is going well. I've got alot of stuff left to type up though.

:]
